Wild Goose Farm's
Pre-Order Plant Sale

The snows of winter are upon us, but you can begin your summer garden now by ordering through our Preseason Plant Order Form! Choose from our convenient Garden Packs, or order individual plants, if you desire. We offer a wide range of herbs, a salad-themed combo of plants, heirloom tomatoes, slicing tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and various peppers. These varieties have been selected for their excellent flavor and beautiful mix of color. All of our plants are certified organic through Midwest Services Association (MOSA).

Order your plants by March 15th! This helps us plan our seeding accordingly and ensure you get the varieties you want. However, we do reserve the right to substitute varieties if necessary. Download our order form, make your selections and send in the completed form with payment.

Pick-up at the farm will be determined by Spring weather, but we aim for the end of May. You will be contacted about specifics when the time draws near.

Below is a description of our varieties of tomatoes and peppers and definitions of plant terms.

You can download our Order Form.

Plant Terminology

Determinate: Bush varieties that should not be pruned- may be grown with or without support - fruit tends to ripen in a short period of time.

Indeterminate: Climbing varieties that need support (trellis, cages, or stakes) – should be pruned - fruit ripens over a long period of time.

Heirloom: Open-pollinated varieties that have been grown for a while - usually predating World War II.

Hybrid: Plants from seed that has been crossed to produce a different plant than the parent plant – not genetically modified – if the seeds are planted they will revert to one of the grandparent plants, not the parent plant.

Open-pollinated: Plants where the seeds (if saved correctly) will grow into the same plant as the parent plant.
